La formation indie rock Modest Mouse, originaire d’Issaquah, WA, sera en spectacle au Métropolis de Montréal le 19 août prochain. Ils joueront sans doute plusieurs pièces de leur nouveau disque à venir quelque part dans les prochains mois.
Par ailleurs, les new yorkais The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart reviendront à Montréal cet été, soit le 8 septembre à la Sala Rossa, accompagné de Cymbals Eat Guitars et The Depreciation Guild. Un spectacle qui promet puisque The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart et Cymbals Eat Guitars ont chacun récemment sortis un album qu’on retrouvera probablement dans plusieurs listes de fin d’année.
Finalement, le 13 octobre seront au Il Motore les brooklynois d’Asobi Seksu et les suédois Loney, Dear.

Le duo robotique envahi la planète !

Cette semaine, on annonçait la signature du duo canadien Japandroids sur l’étiquette Polyvinyl. Ceux qui ont récemment lancés l’album Post-Nothing verront ce dernier sur les tablettes à travers le monde aussi tôt que le 4 août prochain.
En attendant, le groupe est actif en tournée et s’arrêtera au Club Lambi de Montréal le 16 juillet.
Une ville en SANTÉ

La formation d’électronique disco noise HEALTH a annoncé un spectacle à Montréal pour le 20 septembre prochain à La Sala Rossa avec le groupe Pictureplane.
HEALTH a aussi un nouvel album en préparation, Get Color, qui paraitra chez Lovepump United le 8 septembre. On clique ici pour entendre le premier simple ainsi qu’un remixage par Pictureplane.
De plus, le groupe post-rock japonais MONO a aussi ajouté Montréal à son itinéraire de tournée. Le quatuor sera de passage à La Tulipe le 1er octobre prochain avec Maserati en première partie.
Finalement, les fans de rock britannique seront heureux d’apprendre que Kings Of Leon et Glasvegas prendront d’assaut le Centre Bell le 16 septembre.

À l’émission « Félicitations pour notre beau programme » du 8 juin dernier, j’ai mentionné que le prochain album d’Arctic Monkeys paraitra le 25 août prochain chez Domino (24 août pour le UK) et voilà que le titre de cet opus est finalement connu: Humbug. Cela signifie qui à l’intention de décevoir. Bonne nouvelle pour les fans d’Arctic Monkeys.
